Welcome to the fishing permitting system for Cherokee, North Carolina.

Purchasing a permit is easy. It starts with a seven-digit sportsman number. If you don’t know what that is, it’s likely you don’t have one, so begin by registering. You’ll immediately receive your sportsman number.

With your sportsman number handy, you’re ready to purchase your sport fishing license, which can be easily printed from your home computer. We kindly request that you carry your permit at all times while fishing on the Qualla Boundary (otherwise known as the Cherokee Indian Reservation).

You will need to carry your permit with you at all times while fishing on the Eastern Band Reservation.

Please note there are no refunds with your permit purchase. If you have questions or comments, contact Brittany Watson at (828) 359-6110 X6113.
NOTE: Fishing season will be closed from March 12,2016 to March 26, 2016!
